you go to account settings and delete your account. its not permanent but it gets the job done. you can always reactivate. thats why this is better

|
if you really have guts why dont you delete all your friends(i mean un friend remember there is no option to un friend all the friends at once so you have to delete it one by one) and clean your account until it looks plain and new so that you wont be motivated to reactivate an empty account.
