On Facebook, do people see if you change your gender?
So I'm a cis female and just noticed that my gender isn't visible to my timeline. I want to make it visible (even thought it's obvious) so that when people check my profile it says that I am female, but I don't want it it appear on the newsfeed or on the activity bar on the side. Just because that would be a bit weird ("Glasses Chic has changed her gender to female") seeing as there was no change.

A related question: how do I change my sexuality without it showing up on the newsfeed? I only want people who look at my "About" section to see these changes, not shout it out from the newsfeed!
I know how to change both, I just want to know how to change it WITHOUT it appearing on the newsfeed. Everyone should be able to see the info, but only it they look on my "About" page, not while scrolling.
