Facebook vs Myspace?
Which one is better? Why? Pros & Cons please.

Also, why do you think Friendster is becoming popular again?
Hmmm, seems strange there is so much concern about blocking access when they are called social networks.

FACEBOOK:
facebook is better
PROS:
- Safer
-Facebook is more protected. You just can’t click on a person and access their profile. They have to accept you as a friend first
-And Facebook is a really nice way to find out what happened to your old classmates from high school.
-All the content is controlled by you, including what kind of information you want to share and how much. You can even delete comments left by other users if you don’t like them
-It is one of the best ways to organize and share photos
-It is constantly changing and adding new features
-It allows you to show your "status", so people are kept up to date with what you are doing.
-You can show events that you are attending
-It's easier to find your real friends on Facebook, because the search engine is better
-Facebook isn't cluttered with annoying graphics and advertisements
-Facebook has a clear, easy to use, and uncluttered interface.
-Facebook has a smaller community and therefore a lower chance of meeting people that you would not want to.
-Facebook targets college and higher-level adults.
-Facebook does not have much of a risk for programming or loading problems.
-Facebook has good tools like the use of the history. The history has an open area for when changes occur on your page. Then you, family and friends can all see all of the new stuff on your site.

CONS:
-It's harder to find new friends on Facebook.
-There are information fields on Facebook that could potentially make it easier for people to stalk you if you aren't careful. These fields include your email, phone number, and address.
Facebook is less entertaining. The pages are somewhat boring.
-Facebook has limited users; therefore you would not have a change to meet as many new friends etc.
-Facebook cannot be changed much. The most you can do is move a few boxes around.
-Facebook is newer and does not have as much technology backing the interface yet. Therefore there is not much that has changed since it first came out for Harvard students.

MYSPACE:

Pros
-Myspace has a great user interface. It is user friendly, open for changes and also allows for great creativity.

-Myspace has great entertainment options. They allow for videos, music, games and pictures galore.

-Myspace is one of the most widely used online communities. If you are looking for friends, dating, or a great way to communicate with family, this is the way to go. Most everyone who has email has Myspace.

Cons

-Myspace has lower security than other online communities.

-Myspace has a wide variety of users; this increases the chance of meeting distasteful people.

-There are some problems with programming when transferring the layouts and generated data if any is left out.

-There are some slow times when loading high graphic pages.

-Some music, files, etc. have a hard time running through Myspace.

Facebook has apps (fun but can get cluttered) and is less customizable/more 'neat', older crowd and more school based connections.

Myspace is very messy but allows you to show your personal style through your page. Can be complicated to use.

I personally prefer Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ) because it combines the best of both + its own kool things. It is simple and organized, but also lets you express yourself. It is also the safest (most security features) and is the only site that lets users of any age join.

My page: http://yuniti.com/natalie (so you can get an idea of what I mean)

Facebook is better.
Myspace anyone can view your page unless you go through the extra step to block it, but then you might not want to block everyone, just certain people.
Facebook you can set it to more than just friends to see your profile.
Facebook isn't heavily advertising other products and still is quite fast and have many features and add ons.
