I like this guy but his friend likes me?

Okay so I met this guy at a party but I barely talked to him there and the next day he added me on facebook and I started looking through his photos and I thought he was really hot and all these people were telling me all these great things about him and I started to form a little crush on him. A couple weeks later I saw him again at another party and I noticed he was looking at me a lot but I didn't have the confidence to talk to him since he was surrounded by a bunch of guys. At one point I passed by his group of friends and one of his friends yelled at, I'm gonna call him Liam saying "HEY LOOK LIAM ITS "my name"" I thought they were making fun of me but I thought wrong. The next morning his friend who I am also really good friends with me said that liam thought I was really hot and wanted to make out with me so they screamed at him that I was there to embaress him. Ever since I've liked him so much but the problem is one of his friends really likes me and he told me right after the Liam incident at the party. I thought since Liam wanted me having his friend like me wouldn't change his opinion but I saw him and his friend who likes me and a bunch of their friends again one night and it seemed like liam was completely ignoring me and all of the guys were set on getting me with the friend who likes me but I don't want him I want liam. Will Liam ever go for me even though his friend likes me? Is that why he was ignoring me? Is it stupid that I like him even though I've never talked to him? Is he still attracted to me even though his friend likes me? How do I get his friend uninterested in me without me having to tell him?
