It's a game played with a big ball (a little bigger than a basketball), with two or four players. You take turns hitting the back and forth, a lot like tennis or ping pong.

It is a ball game generally played in grade school. It consists of a square divided into four more squares.

It's a kids game.

You use chalk to draw a large square, and then divide it in half twice to make four equal squares inside it.

Usually there's the King, Queen, Jack, and Baby. If someone gets "out" they move to the end of the line of people not playing, and everyone below him gets to move up a rank. So if Queen got out, the Jack moves to Queen, Baby moves to Jack, a new player moves into Baby.

There are many variations of the actual gameplay... but that's the general definiation

if you mean the social networking site it's a kind of breaking edge social network where you can "check in" at different locations (shops, restaurants, etc.) using your cell phone to let your friends know where you go. you can find out about new places you might be interested in by looking at their profile. some people think it's kind of creepy knowing where your friends are all the time but it seems like a logical next step in this information-sharing age.

From what I know, it's just an app that adds location to your tweets, and you get medals rewarded for frequently visiting various locations. This website I visited described it as "a location service-based social network-come-game. What it does in effect is to tell you where your friends are and add a little fun to going out in the evening. It's like Google Lattitude meets a little bit of Facebook, a touch of Twitter, a dash of Qype and even a twist of World of Warcraft. And if that's not a cocktail for hopeless addiction, then we're not sure what is." Read the rest of the site (in my sources), it seems to explain it pretty well. I also put the official foursquare website in my sources.

If you were talking about the game, it's roughly a playground game where there is a large square divided into four equal squares. One person stands in each square and they bounce a ball to each square in no particular order trying to get each other 'out' by causing the other players to miss the ball... I don't know much a better way to describe it.
