New Facebook app doesn't show timeline?

Downloaded new Facebook app for iPad (I have the first iPad but it has iOS 5) but it doesn't show my timeline, or cover photo. I have timeline and so do my friends. I deleted and reinstalled but it's still the same. Something I've done wrong?
@Psychic Computer Repair® PEBKAC? I have a computer, my iPad was a gift I had for Christmas. I downloaded the facebook app ages ago. The other day it wanted to update, and I viewed the app in the app store where the picture showed the new facebook app showing timeline on iPad available for iPad, iPhone, iPod with iOS 4 and above. The problem is, is that other people can see their timeline and cover photo, whereas on mine I can't. I could use safari which displays facebook timeline perfectly well, but I can't use chat...hence why I downloaded the facebook app.

i guess the version you downloaded is old, try downloading another version of facebook app

That's the same with my ipod it dose not show time line. But dose shiw my friends. Weird.

i think it takes up to 7 days for it to come up just as you get it on your laptop and it asks if you want it straight away or after some time not really sure

Apps for tablets are not the same thing as going online with a browser. They do not do the same functions not display the same graphics because of limited resources on the tablets.

If you wanted it to act like computer you should have bought a computer.
