Tricky facebook account deletion situation?

i made a facebook account several years ago but quickly stopped using it because it makes you retarded. i havent logged on in years, does it delete itself? i cant log into it to delete it because i cant remember the email or password i used for the account. i think still exists because sometimes a real world friend may say something such as: i sent you an invite for blabla? so how can i make this dead facebook page vaporize off the face of the universe? is there a number i can call?

It's so hard to get rid of a facebook account, but the first thing is to get back into it.
google deleting facebook, you'll find it's a common issue.
