Is Yeshua's message a social, political one?
How come He said "My Kingdom is not of this source, for if IT WAS, my supporters would have fought, so I was not delivered to the Jews"?
Why do nations (all over) bless their Armies, and some even call their actions a "holy war", like Cardinal Spellman called the soldiers before they were sent to Viet Nam? Again, why MLK mixed politics with Yeshua's teachings? Aren't all things "that the nations sacrifice, sacrifice to demons"?
Finally, would the Almighty be Republican, Liberal or Independent?
Mikey... - You were fast, waiting there.... Instead, how about calling yourself Speedy Gonzalez; all is in a name, and yours, tells me of your existence. It does not.

The Lord's message was spiritual in nature. Essentially it's that man has disobeyed God and as a result has lost his immortality (resulting in a physical death) and his relationship with God (resulting in a spiritual death). The only way to reconcile man to God was the shedding of innocent blood. But man, being a sinner, is not innocent. So God became one of us in the form of Jesus of Nazareth. All those who accept His substitutionary death as payment for their sins and believe He rose from the grave (a sign He defeated both sin and death) are granted reconciliation and guaranteed eternal life.

While many religions and nations claim to war in the name of God, He has never asked or commanded any of them to kill others. Israel fought only one war of conquest and that was when the Lord made them the agency of His judgment against the Canaanites (Deuteronomy 7:1-2 & 18:9-13). God had waited patiently for 400 years for them to turn from their sinful ways and come back to Him, but they refused (Genesis 15:16). Deuteronomy 18:9-12 identified several flirtations with the supernatural that were detestable to God and therefore forbidden. He said that the practice of these things is what finally prompted Him to send the Israelites to drive the Canaanites out of the land.

Verses 10-11 list them: Child sacrifice, divination, sorcery, interpreting omens, witchcraft, casting spells, acting as a medium or spiritist, consulting the dead.

God told Joshua to destroy every one of them, or else they’d become a thorn in their sides. But the Israelites disobeyed God and left some of the Canaanites alive, even letting their sons and daughters marry with them. From then on, the Canaanites enticed the Israelites into pagan worship and other detestable practices causing them ongoing problems that endure to this day.

All the rest have been defensive wars against aggressors. Since the Jews are God’s people, those who fight against them are fighting against God. As in all wars, many have died. But it has always been man who has attacked God, not the other way around.

But the cross changed everything. Or it should have if man would only listen to God. At the cross God made peace with us. His needs for justice and righteousness were finally met and He was free to express His love (Colossians 1:19-20). Now He asks us to live at peace with others out of gratitude for what He’s done (Romans 12:17-18). It's only the evil heart of man that prevents peace.

But one day soon, God will take those who put their faith in Jesus out of the world (1 Thes. 4:16-17). Once we’re gone God will vent the full fury of His wrath on those who’ve rejected the most incredible gift of love the world has ever known, and by the time it’s over man will be scarcer than pure gold (Matt. 24:21-22, Isaiah 13:12). Then God's need for justice and righteousness will have been completely satisfied, and He’ll be free to express His love again and peace will flow like a river across the world (Isaiah 66:12).
