How can i stop people from adding me as a friend on facebook?

if its the same person keep trying to add you just block them, then they wont be able to see your profile at all

You have a setting in privacy settings on who can send you requests.
You can block if same person sends

Did you Try This ? Click on the Lock its the 2nd To Last Icon Than Click on Who Can Contact Me

Under Friend Requests Change it to Friends Of Friends Unfortunately There is No Way to Turn it Off Completely What That Does Is Makes it So That only Mutual Friends Can Friend Request you So If Someone Visits your Profile and If They Have a Mutual Friend With you They Can Send you a Friend Request if They Dont Than They Cant Request you

Thats The Only Thing you Can Do Tho

Go your account settings and change who can contact me to friends only / friends of friends or you could just block the people from sending friend requests.
