Am I about to go on a date or just a friendly outing?
So there’s this guy I met on Twitter cause we both like discussing football and we hung out once to watch a game at a bar with mutual friends. The next day, he asked me if I wanted to go for coffee but I turned him down cause I had a boyfriend back then. 2 weeks later, I broke up with my boyfriend ( found out he had cheated!) and since I thought the guy was cool, I asked him if his invitation for coffee still stands. He replied right away that it was and we made plans for saturday evening. I’m looking forward to getting to know him but I want to take things slow. Is it a date?

It does sound like a date, since he replied right away. But you cant be sure until it comes

It's a date. One on one time together with the opposite sex, whether it be coffee, movies, dinner whatever is a date. It's not a big deal but it's not like hanging out with friends.

i'm not really sure... I had the same issue one time. A guy and I were going to a pizza place but only cuz we could think of anywhere else to get to know each other. The whole time I was trying to figure out if it was a date or not. I was expecting to pay for myself, but when he payed for me it was obvious it was a date. Coffee might be a little different, but I think that the same rule might apply. The best thing might just to be straight with him and as if this is a date or just a friendly outing. It might feel weird to ask, but I think that you will both be glad to be on the same page. hope this helps!
