Which is better - Facebook or Twitter?

Which is better - Facebook or Twitter. Someone said to me that Facebook is for people without a life and Twitter is for the more mature person. What made me laugh is that he told me this on - Facebook!!!! I have both accounts and prefer Twitter - which do you prefer?????

well twitter is more for constant updates like..."what just happened" sort of thing. and its good for random chatting with all your friends that you have on twitter.
on the other hand, facebook is just like myspace, you find friends and you talk to them and i guess most people go on facebook for the app games.
so if you like just chatiing then twitter. but if you like chatting and games then facebook. and i would choose facebook because you can chat and play games at the same time

Both are good!! But i prefer Facebook because it simple, classic and easy to use.....And it is world's #1 social networking site...........

Do you really want to know what is better facebook or twitter. I mean better for what? Marketing? make money online?
These two sites are totally different but you can use them both for marketing and make money online.
Twitter is free. Facebook can be used free as well as paid for advertising.
I think you need to use them both. I think you can´t do it without these two great sites.

They are two totally different social sites. Twitter is like a popularity contest where people care about how many people follow them and only update their status to impress their followers. Meanwhile Facebook, you can keep itouch with relatives who live far away. Its not really a site to meet new people with (ex. MySpace), its very private. I think you have no life if your constantly on the web or on your phone "updating" your status to impress your followers on twitter.

i like both facebook and Twitter. facebook i find is better for catching up with mates and Twitter is good for keeping up with the recent news
