Give him a chance or listen to my friend?

Give him a chance or listen to my friend?
So there's this guy who recently asked me out. I agreed to a date because he seems like a nice person and someone who was interesting to talk to. But he then went and told one of my best friends that he was going on a date with me, and I honestly kinda freaked out when she told me. I'm one of those people who likes to keep things private and I don't tell anyone anything.

But anyway, my friend warned me against going out with him. They went to college together and she told me that he was an idiot and really possessive, like to the point where he was verging on stalking an ex-girlfriend.

So I cancelled the date going in what she'd said, but he's asked me out again now and I don't know what to say.

Give him a chance, or listen to my best friend?

Give him a chance. 99% of guys are like that at one point in their lives to a certain degree. He was verging on stalking her. He didnt stalk her. What kind of stalking anyways? Facebook stalking? drops by to see her at her work after they break up stalking? Or literally STALKING her. You should figure that out. And either way he didnt stalk her. He's probably just a guy who has a fiery passion when it comes to love. It's hard for anyone to let someone go. Every guy is an idiot. If he seems nice and interesting see for yourself. You're friends POV could be so distorted and you don't even know. She could have heard things from some girl who's a friend of this girl he dated. Or maybe you're friend liked/likes him and wanted to talk bad about him. I'd suggest finding out yourself by going on a date with him and spending a couple hours with him. It's just one date.

People don't stay the same forever - especially in their teens!
