facebook wall privacy?

I always like to make sure my facebook is pretty locked down to non friends. Everything is set so friends only can view photos, posts etc. But when I go to the view as button and view as public you can still see a few things on my wall, like recent friend adds etc I have re-checked all my privacy settings and they are still set to friends only. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Facebook's new updates suck and I think I'm going to deactivate soon if they don't change it again.
