How to deal with a friend that is self centered?
This may be a little long but, I have this friend and she has a tendency to be self centered. I will, for example, snapchat her something with the hopes of starting a conversation about something that I am going through and then she will come back with a reply that is not relevant to the conversation like "oh xD I'm eating ramen" and its like I don't know what to say back because no matter what I try to talk about she is always talking about herself and texting me like its a facebook status like "I'm watching Naruto lol". It's not like I'm always talking about myself either.. I usually try to feign interest in whatever she's doing because if I change the subject she's like "lol" and it annoys me. I can't help but sound annoyed after a while and I have no clue what to say or do. She gets upset really easily so I can't tell her because then she will get mad and not talk to me. It feels like all she wants to talk about is herself and if I tell her something that happened with one of my friends she'll have to instantly shove her friends in my face and talk about them.. Also, she's one of those people that will say "don't ask me how I know..." and clearly want me to ask her how.. It's getting super frustrating to the point where I don't want to text her about things that happen to me. I feel like sometimes she is jealous of me but I don't want to accuse her about anything because she's my friend. However, it almost seems as if she's uninterested in my life or simply doesn't want me to be in the spotlight.. What should I do? Why is she doing this?

There is a limit to the amount of energy we each have for our friends, I suggest you make friends with someone who has more time for you.
