What do I chose? Iphone 4s or Samsung Galaxy S3?

Please don't suggest iphone 5 or 5c nor S4 cos I'm in a tight budget. I'll mainly use it for social apps like Facebook and Instagram and for taking pictures. I would also like something with a much better messaging interface. I am iOS fan but the size of the screen is a bit disappointing for iPjhone 4s.
@Dakota: Thank you for the advised, surely made me realize about the durability. My friend that has S3 has the same problem with the charger port and the headphone jack and I thought it was just him not taking care of the phone. Might be a Samsung issue??

As someone who has personally Owned both devices I would hands down recommend the iphone 4s for durability. I currently own the S3 and prior to this had an iphone 5 and 4s before that. The overall craftsmanship in the 4s is going to be a lot better. I've had the S3 for only about 4-5 months now I always keep my phones protected in otter box defender cases and this phone already needs to be replaced. Something has messed up the charging port and the plug just kinda wiggles back and forth and sometimes it charges other times it don't. On my iphones all charging ports were very sturdy. On anothet note I never had to reset or redo my iphone unless I chose to or even restart it fir that matter, on my S3 sometimes I have no choice but to restart it so it will work again or reset back to factory. I know my next phone will be another iphone
