When you add to your Facebook pages favorites is that the same thing as liking a page?

I noticed that I can like FB pages and it will go in the likes of my Facebook personal page. I have added a fan page and noticed I can favorite other pages. Is that the equivalent of liking one? If I favorite pages as page favorites is the the column on the left on the fan page that just says likes?

Yes, to favorite pages is like liking them because you basically say that you like them so much you add them as your favorites

Kinda sorta. You don't have to like it to make it a favorite. when making a page ur favorite, you'll be able to see the favorite page updates on your fanpage when you fully switch over to your fanpage on facebook.
