Finding it hard to meet woman online?

Last year I had found out several people were stealing my pictures on facebook and using them as their own on dating websites, creating fake accounts on facebook etc, it was a huge mess, and caused a lot of paranoia, I even had a few stalkers from these websites. I ended up deleting every social networking account I had, I have not since been on anything. Now, I am trying to meet woman ( im a lesbian ) online again, and I am to afraid to put pictures up because I don't want to go through that whole ordeal again. And lets face it, no photos, most people aren't interested in talking, and once you finally get the odd person that wants to chat they of course want photos right away and then that's when I get to paranoid to send them any. I try to explain the best I can the situation, I tell them id happily send them pictures once I got to get a feel for them but by then its to late! I live in a small town in alberta, there isn't a lot of bars here either which makes things a little more difficult. Sooo any ideas?!
