Guy stood me up for new years eve last year tries to friend request me exactly a year later?
Great guy turned sour after fight 2 days prior to New Years last year...then stands me up (new years wedding he asked me to and bought new dress to attend), then tried to get out of it by giving me a lame lie excuse, then ignores my calls and texts and tells me to take a hint and leave him alone. It was the most humiliated experience of my life.
Now exactly 1 year to the day he facebook friend requests me out of nowhere. Im 39 and he's 34 so I'm too old for this kind of behaviour. Why bother re-living that pain? Thoughts?

Its just because it's been close to a year, he's thinking of this time last year, maybe getting sentimental around Christmas time, or thinking he doesn't want to be alone and made a mistake letting you go.

Not exactly sure Why but this time of year seems frequent for people to try follow up past relatio ships, it's almost as if single people decide to go down their black book... Which is mostly empty.

Guy sounds like a total loser and you deserve better than that. What kind of jerk tells a girl to take a hint? My advice, don't accept it or even give him a second thought.
