Can't delete friends post from FB newsfeed?

No matter how many times I try to delete it it shows up again next time I log in. How do I get rid of it? It's just a normal 'like" post. Thank you.

Muting a friend on Facebook is actually very simple. All you have to do is:
Go to the profile of the friend you want to remove from your feed;
Find the "Friends" button;
Hover over the button for a few seconds and a dropdown will appear;
Uncheck "Show in News Feeds."
That's it. Your friend has been muted. They shouldn't receive any type of notification, so this little trick shouldn't hurt your friendship. It will just help save your sanity.
