Android Market help please?
My gmail account which is hooked up to my market got hacked and the person changed the password so now I can't log in online, and most importantly I can't access my market!! The account was used for everything like facebook, twitter, my phone, etc. I changed all the other ones (facebook, twitter, etc) over to a new email, but I have no idea how to switch my market over without losing everything! Please, please, PLEASE can you help me? You'd be a life saver! Thanks!

Go to your server provider. They should be able to track the person.

I'm sorry, but I'm appalled by the first two answer on here - they're absolute rubbish.

How would the provider be able to trace the person that's using the phone? They could get a proxy IP address and time, but that's it!

And removing the battery most definately WONT work!!!

(Why do people answer if they have no clue about the answer - is it points??

Anyway - rant over.

What you really need to be able to do is regain access to your Google account. The other alternative is to simply create another gmail identity but I get the impression you use your old one a lot.

Did you ever set up the 2-step identification for your device? This gives you an alternative way of identifying yourself to Google in instances like this. Failing that, Google have a webpage for people who's accounts have been compromised. I'd advise filling this in and waiting for the response. Once you regain control of the account, change the password and set up 2-step verification if you haven't done so already.

Once you have control to your account, there might be a couple of fiddly bits to complete (it depends on the phone) - but you have a 50-50% chance of getting full access immediately. Worst case scenario is that you have to remove the account from your phone, or perform a factory reset, and then add it again - it depends how good the phone's interface is.

Actually, I can't find the exact page you need, but look here, and message me if you need more help
