Yes. It's a very cost effective way to save on travel expenses in today's Internet/Social Media world.

Be sure to make it come across as professional (room background, high internet speed capability, etc...).

A face-to-face may still be needed, but you can reach a lot of people initially plus it makes you come across as leveraging today's technologies as a business person.
