How could anyone on Facebook have 800 plus friends?

I have friends on Facebook that have over 800 friends, some are even pushing 900. How does anyone know that many people? I could understand having like 300 friends if you added people you went to school with but 800 is way too many. I only have 182 friends. I don't like having a whole bunch of people on my Facebook.

I have 3,000 I met a lot of people in college sometimes I get request from mutual friends,guys that might like my pictures or just people adding anyone that looks cool. It's easy to get a lot of friends, just depends how you net work!

"Friends" on Facebook aren't necessarily people you know. The people who have 800 friends? They don't know most of those "friends", they just send friend requests to anyone who looks interesting and accept any friend requests they get.
