How long will an investigation take of an American harassing an Italian girl over Facebook?

This guy in the US has nude videos of this girl from the time when she worked on a nude webcam site and has been sending these videos to her, taunting her. All this over Facebook and separate emails. How long will an Italian police investigation take to get to the guy in the US?
The films were recorded off livejasmin private shows.

I'm just going by what she said that she went to the Italian police and they said they'd investigate. She asked me to find out how long the investigation will take to get to the guy harassing her.

If she made the films publicly available over the internet, then there's not much she can do other than change her email address.

Where did you get the inane notion Italian police have any jurisdiction in the U.S. to begin with? At best, all she can do is report him to facebook.

It's out of their jurisdiction. You could get a lawyer and sue him on US soil anyway. They'll get him that way with extradition.
