Pros:
- You could add friends, stay in touch with them, take polls, set up clubs, etc.
- If you have a facebook, then on aim, your aim buddies could see your chats, polls taken, quizzes created, etc. on facebook.

Cons:
- It's dangerous if you put your full name and add a picture of yourself.
- It can get boring if you've had your account for a long time.

Pros:

-It doesn't have as many bugs as other websites around such as MySpace

-It is one of the best ways to organize and share photos

-It is constantly changing and adding new features

-It allows you to show your "status", so people are kept up to date with what you are doing.

-You can show events that you are attending

-It's easier to find your real friends on Facebook, because the search engine is better

-Facebook isn't cluttered with annoying graphics and advertisements

Cons:

-People tend to use social networking sites as a replacement for real human interaction. The more you talk to someone on Facebook, the less likely you are to hang out with them in real life.

-It's harder to find new friends on Facebook. The search is meant to only find people who you are already friends with in real life. You can't do an advanced search for people outside of your networks.

-There are information fields on Facebook that could potentially make it easier for people to stalk you if you aren't careful. These fields include your email, phone number, and address. You can hide these from certain users or not enter them at all, but many people probably enter that info without thinking, making available to anyone on their friends list.

pros: staying in contact with new friends, current friends, old friends and family. A means of communication that is easy and you can broadcast the same information to everyone at once.

Cons: Lack of privacy, people starting arguments and ending friendships due to facebook, knowing too much about a person that leads to irritation and stalking.

Pros : everybody has it, so you keep in touch with everybody and with your old friends
you can share cool stuff
it has cool games and applications like the Zynga stuff and mindjolt games
there are fanpages updated by people like paulo cuelho (the real him) justin bieber, taylor swift.. and others
there are funny fanpages u can spend forever liking when you're bored

cons : stalkers' fav site
if your account was hacked .. you're in real trouble if he did something bad with your account (just happened to a friend)
and the most important thing,a huge waste of time, and if you become and addict ( very likely to happen) you'll actually lose your real life !! everything in your life will be about facebook
