How do you disable the Facebook notification for friend's places/check-ins/location near you?
I keep getting notified that a friend of mine is near me at some place, and it is so annoying. Does anyone know how to disable the notification? or disabling it in the Facebook app at least? Thank you!

From your news feed, click Friends in the left column. You might have to click More to see the Friends section.
Click Close Friends to view the list.
Click the Notifications dropdown in the top-right corner.
Choose whether you want to turn off these extra notifications.
