Ideas for eye catching art... Please please answer!!?

I want to get on to no doubts group on twitter called NDArt, basically you have to do a piece of no doubt inspired art and if it catches their eye they will put you in the group. I really really wanna be in the group but I can't think of anything that would really stand out, so please please please can anyone give me ideas as to what i could do. All suggestions welcome thank you x

Hmm... Tis' a tough one.

Maybe you already knew this, but it's good to observe and ask yourself-what makes an artwork eye catching? Is it the colour, the composition, the backstory?

Composition is important. Your artwork shouldn't have too little to see, and not too much either. Too little can devalue your work, yet make it straightforward, and possibly 'eye-catching'.
Too much, and people who view your work won't know which portion of your work to admire and focus on, because it's too much, too messy, nothing stands out. Yet, it's interesting because of the variety of elements you've included into the work.

Find the 'middle' of these two. Add interesting details cautiously, but enough to add value to your work.

Play around with colour combinations. Maybe going analogous wouldn't be as good as going triadic?
(Try http://colorschemedesigner.com/ ). There's a variety of colour schemes/combinations to explore, and each one gives a different feel/vibe to your artwork.
