Im absolutely terrified of bathrooms, in general. I refuse to use any bathroom with an automatic flush toilet, id rather hold it. I fear mirrors. I can only use a public restroom if another person is in there. Even at home, i have to open the shower curtain before i can do anything. The bathroom light HAS to be on at night because i also fear the dark. I think the reason i developed this fear was because of all the scary stories people have been putting in my head, and scary movies, and on the social media sites i use, there are scary, nerve-racking pictures of a girl with black hair and blacked out eyes and pale skin, it gives me chills describing it. Im just terrified of walking into a bathroom one day and something like just popping at me. Im just terrified, and its a fear i will most likely never get over. Its even worse considering im about to be on my own and being alone, i dont think i could handle it,

Yes - very common - have no idea what the name is though.

Bathrooms are very emotionally laden places - places where you get naked and take a crap and do "disgusting" and "terrifying" things....

It's a place of drains where monsters hide ready to pop out and get you. That is a symbol of repressed memories and emotions in your unconscious which you are afraid will pop out and get you.

All this always boils down unconscious conflicts of some kind. It's what Freud called "Failure of Repression" where memories and emotions long repressed and "forgotten" rise back toward consciousness - hairy monsters with black eyes.

Of course once you know what they really are they aren't scary anymore. But it's very entertaining when you don't know and they can remain really scary.

This is all really "normal" stuff - everybody goes through this same thing. It's just that other people get different symptoms. Many times most people don't even notice this happening in their minds.
