Because it fails. Facebook is so large, it probably won't ever fail.

Probably because Facebook provided more features as compared to orkut. Hence people started migrating to facebook. Facebook's wall, notification and managing friends and apps was far better than orkut.
Do you remember there along with orkut there were other social networking sites such as Hi5 etc; which never got clicked so orkut was in demand. Than facebook entered market and it overtook orkut. Possibility of facebook's fate as orkut's is very low beacuse facebook has made its mark with its apps and with its acquisition of instagram. |
