Should Diane Abbot stand down after her remarks on twitter becoming public?
Should she have been sacked by Ed miliband?
EDIT:TFH, Diane Abbot has been proven as a racist on a number of occasions, such as on the Andrew Neil show a couple of years ago, and also when she remarked that Scandanavian blonde haired and blue eyed nurses were too white to work in most of Londons Hospitals, for a woman that spearheads equality and political correctness, she is a big time hypocryte and i personally think she should e removed from public office as soon as possible, just as a white Mp would be expected(or forced to), one rule of law for all.

If Ed had a firm grip on his party im sure he would do but his leadership is fragile enough as it is and there might be a few disgruntled MP if he chooses to pick a fight with Diane. Clearly unacceptable comments though and it is depressing to hear someone like Diane Abbott talk in this way considering that she is the first black woman MP and should be at the forefront of tackling racism and stereotyping. Shame on her.

EDIT: Well I can only agree with what you've said Sid, it would certainly be the right thing for her to be sacked from the shadow cabinet I was merely pointing out the likelihood of that happening given Miliband's predicament. She's been elected by the people so she can't be removed from public office until the next election but that's up to her constituents to decide.

Not only should she be sacked she should also be prosecuted for racist comments, and seeing as she is a former race relations officer there should be no excuse for what she said. She is obviously a racist not only by her remarks but by the way she conducts herself in Hackney ie:- She holds monthly ethnic minority & black only constituency meetings. After the death of Tottenhams Bernie Grant she stopped the Labour party putting up a white candidate by stating that Tottenham should only have a black MP. As usual the Labour party stand back and do nothing the same as they did when she claimed over £140,000 in expenses. Luis Suarez received a fine & a ban for using the word negro,
Diane Abbot has said much worst but seems to think she can get away with it by saying sorry
but then again she is in the labour party-The party that likes to make white people second class

Unfortunately for Diane Abbott, she committed a Freudian slip and allowed her true feelings to show! The comment was racist because she was generalising about a group of people. She represents a multicultural constituency as an MP,how is she going to face them after what she has said! I think respect has now been lost.
