What's his problem?

Okay so I'm a 16 year old girl and I went to a high school where all 10th graders are new. So I met new friends and this girl I made friends with is mostly friends with guys. So I started spending lunch break with her and her friends, and this one guy is in my class and he is a little bit quiet. I feel like he dislikes me or something. (At lunch breaks I only get along with 1 of his friends all the others seem like they hate me, they all ignore me...) When I say something he just looks at me (I've got a good sense of humour) but when someone else says it he laughs and I'm like OKAY.... In class I catch him looking at me and when I look at him he quickly looks away. (I don't think he likes me because I'm not pretty and he just likes other girls in class). He just made good friends with a friend I had for a few years.. He'll just have a good conversation with someone I'm with and just totally ignore me. He gives me glances which make me feel uncomfortable but quickly looks away. When we were at a party he got all flirty with one of my friends and they kissed infront of me and I was like DUDE! And then a few days after schools closed he inboxed me on facebook and told me I looked hot at the party and he really wanted to get it on with me and I was like Whaaaa?? I mean I never really talked to him the whole year and you text me this? TF?
I'm smart so when marks are given out, he gets this bored face when mine I called out .. (I don't even boast)
Why he gotta hate me! :'(

He either doesn't know you enough and thinks you invading his friend group
