facebook app on blackberry curve 8900 not working?

the Facebook app on my Blackberry Curve 8900 was working great until i upgraded to the newest version. now when i try to log in i get this message: "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support."
How do i fix it? i know i have a data service because everything was working with the last Facebook version.

You can selected when you get emails from Facebook. It's under the settings tab at the top of the screen. I think deleting your account is also under that tab.
