Does Facebook sell/release your information?

I've been thinking about deleting my facebook account for a while now and have been having doubts. I really don't like the way my friends use it and it's affecting me. I also think some of facebook's privacy concerns are all in their favor and they don't respect your material. Facebook's privacy policy. There are a lot of interesting caveats in it, if you read it.
