Instagram rate limit?

When I try to log back into Instagram, it's says 'rate limit exceeded' what does that mean and how do I fix it?

Hey!

When you get that message it basically means you are making too many requests to the application.
It can be anything on Instagram such as: posting a photo, a comment, or marking something as a favorite.

There is a Rate Limit on Instagram because to prevent from users spamming or trying to overwhelm Instagram servers.

As far as I know the limit is about 5000 (overall) not sure if it is per day or week.

Try to go in there after a day or so. It should work fine, if not contact Instagram staff here:
