iPhone 4s questions? (20 characters)?

My family might be switching over to version and we'd all get iPhones, but I have a few questions.
1) when you're on wifi, when you make a call or send a text, does it call/send through wifi or still the 3G?
2) white or black? I can't decided haha
3) should 16 fb be enough for me? I have a 32 gb iPod touch and I have:
712 songs, but a lot will get deleted I get an iPhone because a bunch of them I never listen to and just downloaded because they were in an album of a band I like.
777 photos but I don't think I'm going to put any of those on my iPhone
34 apps
14 videos but they are less than a minute long and I wouldn't put the on my iPhone cause they are pointless. It says I have 19 out of 28.5 gb left.

4) does using applications that require Internet access use a lot of data? Like Facebook or instagram for example?

5) this one doesn't technically involve the iPhone, but could I damn version and ask them if their service works in my area? Like give them my zip code and see if it works?

1. It still stays on the WiFi from what I know.
2. I don't know! Plus it doesn't matter if you're getting a iPhone case!
3. 16 GB should be enough.
4. It depends if you're on the WiFi or the 3G. If you're using 3G, then yes, if you're on WiFi, then no.

Avoid getting an iPhone 4s right now. It is towards the end of its 'life' now. iPhone 5 is scheduled to be released in October, so just hold off until then. This is one of the bigger leaps that Apple is making. iPhone 5 will finally have LTE support and 'real 4G', and iOS 6. You really would not want to carry around an outdated model for another 2 years. So, bottom line...hold off switching over to Verizon and buying anything Apple related until October because it is going to be a big month for Apple products.



Your Questions:

1.) Call is through 3G always. I am not 100% sure about texting. Ever since iMessage came to iPod Touch, it led me to think you can send texts through wifi and 3G now, but I am still not certain.

2.) Black. It looks a lot better. The light White color has a tendency to make stain marks stand out.

3.) I would say you go for the 16 GB. If it turns out that you don't have enough , you can always return the phone within 15 to 30 days or so (check with Verizon on the number of days), and then pick up their 32 GB.

4.) Sites like Facebook generally should not use up a lot of data because Facebook and other social networking sites are very commonly used on an iPhone that Apple has started to make the iPhone user experience easier for social networking. However, if you plan on using other websites often, then yes, you will use up a lot of data, but it's nothing to worry about.

5.) Sure, I guess you could. There is no harm in doing so.

I have recieved texts over wifi from iPhone users, and I think it's because the iPhone has iMessage, which works on the iPod touch over wifi. I would say black, and 16GB should work. U wanna not use as much memory though, because it'll slow it phone down, since more memory doesn't mean it's gonna be faster. Unless your streaming videos on the interment, it shouldn't use a lot of data. If u don't want to use the limited amount of data u have, then turn off your cellular data and switch to wifi. To turn off cellular data, go to SETTINGS-GENERAL-NETWORK-CELLULAR DATA-OFF

1) I'm not sure, I think the wifi for texting, but its best just to get unlimited texting and so many phone minutes.

2) Definitely black, after all they do run faster. Just kidding, i think they look better.

3) 16GB is plenty.

4) They don't use too much data, but the facebook app takes around 250MB to download which is ridiculous.

5) No idea.

Hey! I'll try to help you out the best I can

1) You don't need any wifi or internet to make a call, just a plan with minutes on it!

2) I have the white, it looks really good with the case I bought from speck so I like it but whatever your style is! If you want one more unique though get the white one!

3) 16 is totally enough I have a ton of photos, 1,000 songs, and like 15 apps and a few videos and I still have room

4) No, what uses a lot of data is streaming video, so if you want to watch a show on netflix or a long video just be sure to be connected to wi-fi and you will be fine. But facebook and instgram don't use that much.
