Help with Facebook notifications?

A little bit ago, somehow I accidentally set my Facebook to block notifications from my news feed. Now i don't get notifications for wall posts or comments or anything like that! I don't know how to change the settings! Help? I went to Settings, Account Settings, Notifications, but that gives me the choice of which notifications I get by email. I need the ones where the little red box pops up in my corner.

Next to Facebook at the top of your facebook page, you will see three buttons. The third button is a round ball that looks something like the world. Click on that and then click on "see all notifications". On the right side of this screen, you will see, "show notifications..." Reclick on all of them. Let me know if this works.
