If I use the Social Networking app on Android, how do I delete the Facebook contacts I do not want?

I have a Droid X. When I add my Facebook account to the Social Networking app, it syncs all of my Facebook friends to my contacts. I only want some of them in my contacts. When I try to delete a FB contact, it says I have to delete them off of my friends list. Is it possible to delete Facebook contacts without removing them from my friends list?

I don't think you can pick and choose whose in your contacts list, no matter if your using MotoBlur or the standalone Facebook app. I believe Facebook forces you to sync all of your friends to your contacts.
