Is it true that this story is a hoax (where a woman ties a man up for three days and rapes him)?
I have always found this story to be horrible:

http://gawker.com/5820419/robber-beat-up...-sex-slave

Basically, a female salon owner catches a robber, subdues him, then ties him up and rapes him for three days.

This story has always attracted attention (naturally) and the female perpetrator has a Facebook fan page.

However, apparently the story is a hoax:

"Regrettably, Scenario 3 did not in fact happen Smile

The original story emerged in Life.ru (a russian tabloid) in 2009, with far fewer details. It reemerged in other outlets in 2009, 2011, 2012, and now 2014. Each time it gained more and more details, from the handcuffs (originally 'pink and frilly') to the 'floored him with a single kick' (originally "Olga surprised him with a quick punch to the chest, knocking the wind out of him before she flipped him to the ground"), to giving them last names (originally they were known only as 'Viktor' and 'Olga'.

This is basically a story that appeared in Russia's answer to The National Enquirer or the Sunday Sport that foreign papers repeated because of its wierdness Tongue But, that's cool, guys, keep thinking it's real Wink

The story _is_ interesting in what it tells us about wish fulfillment, comedy, and society's lack of compassion to male rape Sad "

What do you think? Is this true that the story is a hoax?

I found a few quick sources on it - see below. Several of them are reprints of the story - you can see how it evolves over time Smile

The Killers' charm notwithstanding, other than the inherent implausibility of the story:
1) 3 days with no one raising the alarm;
2) the shop owner just so happening to have 3 days worth of Viagra, pink frilly handcuffs, on her person at work
3) no member of staff remaining behind with the captured assailant

We can also see new or different details being added to it with each retelling, for example:
1) the handcuffs (originally 'pink and frilly')
2) 'floored him with a single kick' (originally "Olga surprised him with a quick punch to the chest, knocking the wind out of him before she flipped him to the ground")
3) the last names (originally they were known only as 'Viktor' and 'Olga'.

Most seriously, the story is posted in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014.
1) At each point, the story is related as though it just happened.
2) No story says the police investigation is complete
3) no story says charges have been proffered, the case going to trial, or sentencing.

After 5 years, there would have been some progress in the case. There hasn't been, because - I think - it's an urban myth Smile

edit: Mike, I don't think anyone's saying that, just that this particular story isn't true.

Find irrefutable sources, other wise I don't believe it. To me it sounds made up and highly unlikely. You have to be careful what you just accept as true. There's a bunch of people and websites that will tell you that the matrix and terminator were originally the same story and that they were stolen from some African-American lady, she even filed a lawsuit, but it was all a hoax. Or the movie Strangers, its a horror movie that is suppose to be based off a true story, but the only true story its based off of was some run of the mill breakins in the writers neighbourhood when he was a child, no one was murdered.

I can't find anything that proves it's a hoax. But I do think Marcus is probably right.

What I do find disturbing is how a number of sites have posted it as a funny story. WTF? There is nothing funny about rape, no matter who the victim is.

Hard to say if its a hoax or not unless you really investigate it. I guess it all depends on what your willing to believe or not. I don't think it says anything about societies feeling about men as much as human nature. People love horror stories, the more gruesome the better. And add some death people can't wait to read more.

You see it all the time when theirs accident traffics slow down so people can get there feel of blood.
