How to get started with my Facebook shop?
I started a Facebook shop, and I don't know how to get customers.

I have 50 friends who added me. Everything else ready but I can't start with just 50 friends who I'm not even sure are going to buy from me. I showed previews of the items (clothes) I will be selling, and I've only gotten a few like's. I can't just start because I do "pre-orders", which means people order from me and I buy the items they ordered from a supplier overseas.

Shipping is expensive.

If I have a small order it's not worth it. I don't want to go around adding people because I might seem like I'm desperate.

What should I do?

These days, consumers could be accessed using unconventional ways. Marketers are able to conduct transactions just through the Internet. More and more consumers prefer to buy items online because it is more convenient. Marketers recognize the reality that the online media is now the best and most effective way to reach potential consumers. Social networking like the use of Facebook could be a direct marketing strategy. Now, you could make money on Facebook just by regularly using the Website. If you are selling products and services, making this is possible by using it to reach your intended consumers.

How could you sell any item or service through Facebook? If you are a beginner in the use of the online site, you need not learn the knitty gritty of social advertising and use of paid applications. You could directly sell your items just by using your friends list. You could always post messages or shout-outs that directly sell products. You may directly indicate your purpose to sell your items or you may use the instant messaging service to do so. This way, you could be sure people in your friends list would be able to read and process your message appropriately.

You could then proceed to creating groups that cover specific topics or interests. Such groups could lure not just your friends but other Facebook users as well. If you aim to make money on Facebook using such groups, be sure to be strategic in putting up groups. Make them very specific in terms of user features like age, location, interests, and status. You may also join other existing groups. Such measures could help you extend or broaden your social network so that making money on this site could be more possible.

How about modifying your personal profile to attract more attention? To make money on Facebook through selling items, you could put up a personal profile that is more interesting and more persuasive. You could talk about your business or the items you sell. Your friends surely would check your profile out. You could even use photos and even videos to further spice up your purpose. It is very advantageous that the Website is enabling the use of such tools.

Do you intend to use specific applications to sell your products? You could easily do so to make money on Facebook faster. Applications like eBay, e3buy, and Lemon are available for less costs (even free) so that users could post items for sale more effectively. Surely, this could be done in without any hassle.
