usually their parents contact the site admins and they take it down.

Their Facebook page would remain active. Unless someone were to report this to Facebook, then they could de-activate the account. The account won't de-activate by its self, as you can't post an update for a specific date to die!!

they would certainly have to change status to deceased before dying... just some black nerd humor
 relatives can post a status of what happened to let friends know, that is if they got the password to facebook. |

It would be bombarded with petty obnoxious posts from everyone trying to get in on a scoop of someone they know dieing. A girl at my school recently died in an accident and every dumb girl in the entire school was social networking about it for weeks.
