Can our preschool set up a facebook page/persona?

Our preschool is a committee run charitable institution operating in the uk.
We'd like to set up a facebook page as a means of informing parents of upcoming events and for giving general feedback on our daily activities.
There will be photos of the setting but we're not plannong on having any of the children on there.
Can we do this? Is it allowed?

Sure,
A facebook page is allowed. Just not allowing the choldren therein is a bit difficult. Because is you page is open to public then it is open to everyone. 'Liking' a page makes a person part of it. But yes it is allowed.
