How am I suppose to adjust in a new environment without friends?

Me and my family are shifting to a new city 14 kms away from where we live now. All my friends are here and I don't want to leave them, I would be going to the same school but it wont be the same as I wont be able to meet them after the school like I used to. And I am sure I wont be able to make new friends there what should I do? I am stressing out. Help me please.

I am in the same situation. I shifted to a new city which is 1700 kms away from where I used to live. I had a bunch of AWESOME friends out there in my new city. Mind you, the first day of the school will be the WORST day of your school life. It really sucks. Well, I know that feeling when you have to leave the people who mean a lot to you, but you have to move on. It's been 8 months since I shifted here and fortunately, I have settled here. My new friends are aren't like my old ones (of course, people aren't the same everywhere!) and don't worry about your friends... you have millions of options to communicate with them (eg: Facebook, Whatsapp, SMS, telephone etc.). You are so damn lucky to be just 14 kms away from your old home. Well, best of luck for the new chapter of your life!
