What dress length should a short girl wear to prom?

yes, long dress will make you alot shorter! wear something just above the knee!

Most petite girls should wear a dress above the knee and high heels to look taller, but if you have your heart set on a long dress the only way to be sure is to try it on. Be aware of the structure of the dress and that the length isn't so long where you'll be holding it all night but not anywhere below the knee to above the ankles as that will make you look shorter and unflattering. The dress you showed will probably be good since it looks like the skirt is long and will give the illusion of long legs. However, make sure it is form fitting enough to show your curves so you don't look like you have no torso or no legs.

Kristin Chenoweth is 4'11", so google some of her red carpet looks. She's done plenty of long dresses and looks great in them.

Unless your prom is casual, a knee length dress in inappropriate.
