DIRECTIONERS: Does anyone feel like 1D has changed?

I feel like they've changed because of all the haters, especially Louis. They don't interact with fans much anymore, they don't seem like their best friends anymore, they don't have bromance a anymore, they don't say Vas Happenin! or have Kevin anymore! I just feel like they're personalities have changed, and in Instagram, it's trending #imisstheoldonedirection
I just feel like they aren't the same. Either way I'll love them, but it seems like they just don't want to be a band anymore, and it makes me sad. I want the One Direction from 2012 back! I don't know, am I going crazy, or have they changed?

Honestly, you have to take into consideration that One Direction started out at 17and 19 ( Louis is older) and you have to realize that they've grown up. Also, fame can get to you with all the haters and rumors about Larry Stylinson, the fake relationship between Perrie and Zayn, the slams on their girlfriends etc. These boys are probably fed up with the bs the media puts them through on a daily basis. One Direction are one of the most popular out there right now and I'm pretty sure the pressure on them is high. They recently came out of their TMH tour and just now being able to relax without family time and privacy. Anyways, who knows if One Direction has changed, we don't know them, talk to them on the phone etc. The only info we have is through the paparazzi and Paris Hilton. So who knows what goes through their mind. Those boys need a break, seriously.

well they have to grow up someday, don't they? plus fame changes people sometimes to the better and others to the worse!! i find them the same just a bit more mature ... agree with lexie tho

Well there getting older, and as they get older they change. Im sure they would like to interact with fans but they are more busy now and they can't.

Everyone changes as they get older, for better or worse. Take a look at Justin Beiber, at 18 he was just sweet and focusing on his music. Now he's 19, and he changed completely and he's getting into other things. I mean he's having fun but, not a good influence to his fans now.

Relax, there good guys and there way too successful to change any of that.

well i dont like one direction AT ALL. but i can tell u this, they have changed a little bc they made all the money they could ever wish for and they cant get like any more than they already r . but look at justin bieber , hes changed so much , his voice his personality and the reason y he got arrested is bc he has nothing left to live for . this is y some celebrities turn into trainwrecks .

It's natural, they are growing up. And the more famous you get, sometimes the more distance between yourself and the audience, you don't get as personal interaction. They just have too many fans to get to and have to be mindful of safety. Both their own and that of the fans.

I don't think it's haters. They're at the point now where they will probably get serious girlfriends and so they will be leading increasingly separate lives.

I think they'll keep going as a group for awhile, but sooner or later they may want to try solo projects.

If they don't try to change or grow up, they will gradually lose their audience, people will get tired of them.

Aww, I miss the old them too, although, I like to think they haven't changed as much as some of us may think. Vas happenin and Kevin were kind of their old inside jokes, but every year, we get more inside jokes so I guess those are just from 2010-2012. But, we had a bunch last year, like from BSE and 1D Day, concerts, etc and I'm positive we'll have some this year too. And of COURSE they want to be a band ! They're doing what they love ! Have you seen Niall's posts on Twitter? He's going crazy because of excitement for the WWA tour, they'll be playing at STADIUMS !! And just look at where they started ! They're also great friends and defintiely are NOT breaking up anytime soon, although I'd prefer never. They still do kind of have the same personalties and haven't taken a big turn at all if you think about it. They'll always be who they are and time can't change that. I think now that they're so busy, it's one of those factors that makes us think they've changed, because they have a lot going on there's not much time to interact with fans and all as much as we'd love them to. I miss the old them too but let's just see what happens as time goes by and they start their tour again !!

They are better. Their music isn't as shallow and vapid. They are tolerable now.
