This vaguely considered normal for a 13 year old?
I am 13 years old boy and have only had 2 friends in my whole life and they moved away and we have completely lost contact with each other. At school there are people I would talk to at lunch or whatever but I wouldn't really call them friends if that makes sense? I am not at all interested in girls or guys and have never had a crush. Most of what I over hear from boys in my year is about sex, porn and sports and none of these interest me at ALL. There are people online I talk to but I would really like to have somebody i see at school everyday and hang out with. The things I am interested in others at school have neither heard of, opposite to what they like or consider it as gay (<-- why do people misuse this word so much!?). I am really interested in Manga, Anime, Video Games, Film and Vocaloid but for schools in Scotland there is not many fans of this at my age most are 16+ (and do not attend my school). I am generally not interested in most people but I have spent nearly ten years at school lonely and bullied and would just like to maybe just have a friend (or 2? Wink ) I'm very sorry this is so long and if you have reached this far you have already earned my respect reading this. Just curious if maybe I'm what's considered a "late bloomer", something is wrong with me or if i should just wait for the right person to come by?

Yeah! It means you are more mature than them! Don't worry, in high school, probably by freshman year you will meet people. They have lots of clubs. For me, I play sports and am pretty outgoing, but as I move through high school, I'm a senior now, I find it hard to be friends with people cause they are so immature. I only have a girlfriend and a very small group of good friends. So you're good! I live in America, so I guess maybe its different over there, but don't worry. Just remember, after grade school, you aren't even gonna remember anyone who picks on you. You will have bigger and better things to do. Hey, if you really are looking for a friend, message me and I will send you my facebook name and we can be at least facebook friends

You may be a late bloomer and threre's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with you. You sound more mature than your peers and you have different interests than the crowd. Neither of these are bad things, they're actually both very good things. However, since most of your peers aren't going to respect your differences it leads to bullying and for that I'm sorry. Once you leave school for adult pursuits like going to university, you will meet so many more people and you will find people that can appreciate you and will like you for who you are.
