Well,since you are not able to access your older account when it becomes innactive for too long it will be deleted.In july 15th yahoo deleted the accounts innactive for 12+ months so i guess the same thing will happen with your older account.Im sorry to say that.Try to recover it with your secret answer or sth.Good Luck!

As the other answer stated....if you do not gain access to it the account will be deleted.

Try this.

Everything below is dependent on how long ago you
last accessed this account.

This link gives a good description....
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...OD_MAIL_ML
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If you can remember the ID and Password you can try to log in
and Yahoo will give you steps to reactivate the account and if the
password does not work and you can remember your ID ...Click
on I CAN'T ACCESS MY ACCOUNT after entering your ID...it
is located on your sign in screen. One of your options is
" I have a problem with my password". Place a dot in the circle
to the left of it .. click on NEXT and follow the prompts...
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If the above is not successful....
Once a yahoo account is deleted or you are unable to access it
because you have not accessed for a long time you will have 90
days to reactivate it. All your present information in the deleted
account will be held IN that account for that 90 days. you will
have to contact Yahoo as described below toactivate it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In addition to being able to contact a yahoo rep in
the links below you will be able to solve MANY of
your problems on this site. .

You can now contact Customer Care on Twitter
Once you start and tweet your questions you can
access themand see if they have been answered by
clicking on "ME" when
you are on the site.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And you can contact them on Facebook.

Customer care for UK & Ireland..

Yahoo customer service telephone no 0870-352-2000
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Normally, once the 90 days has elapsed, your account information
will be deleted and non retrievable. If it
is close to the 90 days you might still give it a try.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Note: If you leave your account dormant for 12 months..Yahoo will
delete it for you....
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...OD_MAIL_ML
After that time you might be able to use the same ID if it has not
been taken by someone else.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Before yahoo deletes it they will normally contact you first.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In addition, if you deleted it yourself, the time limit as to when you
can use it again varies...
