iPad Air - How many GB do I need?
I am in the market to purchase my first tablet and after doing research on which I wanted I decided on the iPad air. I am unsure of how many GB I need and would like some advice. On the tablet I intend on storing some, but not all of my music and maybe rotate some TV shows every now and then. I am also a comic book fan and wanted to purchase some comics through the DC and Marvel apps. I should also mention that I do not play many games and any apps that I download will likely be Netflix, Social Media or sports related. Any advice or help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Should clarify that when I say "some" music I mean roughly between 5-8GB

It never hurts to go with the more is less philosophy, unless you're going to just keep buying the newest iCrap as its released.

That being said, we don't know how much music you have, so "some" could be 1 GB or it could be 20. It doesn't sound like you'll be using a lot of media on there, though. I'd probably roll with a 32 GB model, if I were buying that.

Well the iPad Air comes in the following configurations:

16GB - $499
32GB - $599
64GB - $699
128GB - $799

I would say the first configuration is suited to your needs, not to mention the fact this device gets very overpriced as the storage increases.

Music = 500+ songs would cost around 6Gb

TV shows = Depends on quality. Generally they take from 250Mb to 2.2Gb for 1 hour episodes. I'm pretty sure you would be getting in standard resolution so make it 500Mb per show. Max 10 = 5Gb

Comic books= They merely take any mention-able space

Few games and Apps like Netflix, Social Media or sports related= All of this would fit in the rest of your space.

Which Storage is Best for iPad - Take a look at this discussion:

In case if you would not be carrying around more than 5 Tv shows, then 16Gb would be enough storage space. Getting the 32Gb would just keep you away from running out of space every now and then.

Hope this helped!
