Please help! I can't change my Yahoo Answers avatar.?

No matter what I do, it's not changing. I've read so many posts and followed the steps. I checked my privacy settings and I'm pretty sure it's not locked. Could somebody please help! Maybe step-by-step instructions? It should not be this complicated.

Also, I want to use the Yahoo avatar I made, not a simple upload.
Thank you to both. I actually had to upload a random pic from my computer, save that, and then click on my yahoo avatar and save that again. For some reason choosing the avatar and saving was not working until I changed it and then re-chose it.

Trythis. You could choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar

Cartoon, this way is fast, straight forward and easy. Go below, create your avatar and save. Then, click your current default avatar then click edit my preferences and you will see where to check use avatar.

You could also create a personal avatar below save it to you pc then upload it as a photo.

Click on your current avatar then click edit my preferences to the right of your default avatar click update photo. Follow the prompts to upload it from your pc.

It shows up on your question details but not the question list. There is nothing you can do other than wait it out.

I just checked it out and it now appears. If that is an old one and you are trying to change it these are the instructions. There is nothing else.

Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. You can also use your Facebook or Twitter avatar. For an animated gif you should make it your Twitter avatar first.

STEP 1.
In order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo Profile visible. That is done here:

There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on. The name can be anything you want.

STEP 2.
If you want to use your Facebook or Twitter avatar be sure to link the sites in the Profile options.

STEP 3.
To create a cartoon avatar first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.

STEP 4.
Click on the default avatar in Y!A and select "edit my preferences".

Click on "update photo or avatar" and a small window will open.
You can select the cartoon, Facebook, or Twitter avatar or upload your own photo.
After clicking "use selected photo" be sure to click "submit".
The same photo will appear in the Yahoo Profile.
