Wear what you normally wear to school.

At Google you don't really see a lot of people wearing suits... wear what you're most comfortable with.
But then again, it depends which office / datacenter you're going to. If you're going to a sales or marketing department, you may see that they're dressed a little more formal compared to the "geeks" who are creating code or working with all the high-tech hardware.

Just Google around a bit, there are plenty pictures online from people working at Google. You'll see what they wear.

The most important thing is that you're talking to the people there. They're VERY approachable. They won't let you in on any company secrets but they're social people. If you get on with an employee, just ask him for contact details saying you want to keep in touch. Tell him or her you're very excited about the company and that if any opportunities come up, you'd like to know about them. LinkedIn is always a good platform to be linked up Wink

Google hires people of all sorts, so it doesn't really matter which field of expertise you're specializing in. However, it is an IT company, so if you're a brilliant programmer, you'll probably have the best chance to get a great job with them.

I think that if you're concerned about what to wear on your visit... you're focusing a little bit on the wrong things though! It's not that kind of company and that is one of the great things about them.
