twitter email- followers!!!?

I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING THAT "SO AND SO" WAS FOLLOWING ME ON TWITTER. ALL WELL AND GOOD BUT... WHEN I CHECK ON TWITTER I ONLY HAVE 65 FOLLOWER NOT INCLUDING MY NEW ONE... SO WATS UP WIV DAT. THEN A FEW DAYS LATER I GET THE SAME EMAIL. SAYING THAT THE SAME PERSON IS FOLLOWING ME. SO I CHECK AGAIN BUT NO ITS SOMONE DIFFERENT. SOMEONE TELL ME WAT UP IMM USELESS AT TWITTER AND HOW DO YOU GET CELEBRITIES TO FOLLOW U!!
1 DO U HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO.
2 MY KEYBOARD IS BROKEN SO CAN U HELP ME OR NOT

Step one. Go buy a keyboard. They are not that expensive.

Step two: Set up a rule to send all the emails telling you someone is following you on twitter to be deleted and quit worrying about them.

but anyways.....it could be one of the following: either they followed you and then immediately afterwards unfollowed you, or it could be something is wrong with twitters following system. There's nothing you can do about it really except send twitter an email about the issue and see what they do.
