Looking for Sponsers?
Double D Performance Horses all started with a very talented child (13 Years old ) Who owned two horses Diablo and Diesel. Friends and family were beyond amazed by her skills that they started sending horses to be rode, in a matter of a few months after horses were being sent to have some training she had decided to name her business Double D Performance Horses. A local stable had asked for her to work all there boarders, while this was happening there was posts on craigslist and facebook of happy costumers which caused even more people coming to her, Keep in mind she is now still only a 14 year old owning her own business and keeping up with her money. Her family has supported her on getting logo's for trailers, shirts, ect. Now she is in need of sponsers or a way to raise money for more saddles, bridles, bits, helmets. Let me know of any thoughtys. Please no negative comments

Yahoo answers is so not the place for this. Also, at 14 you should probably know the difference between 'there', 'their', and 'they're'.

That being said, good luck on your endeavors! You'll need to do more networking and marketing to get sponsors. Entering colt starting competitions is a good way to start getting a sponsors attention, so long as you do an exceptional job. If you're going to do your own marketing and networking though, maybe you ought to brush up on your grammar and vocabulary. No one is going to take you seriously if you can't convey your thoughts through writing in a legible manner. Again, not trying to be mean. Just being honest.

Sponsors give people money based solely on 1 thing:

that their brand is going to be seen by a maximum number of people.

If this kid competes in HIGH level and WINS = sponsors may be interested.
she may bring customers to the sponsors (Wrangler for example)

If this kid just trains horses at a home barn and does not compete, well, what reason would a sponsor have to give money?

Trainers who travel a lot, who can promise they will have a big audience, get sponsors too.

So, if the kid travels a lot, and fills stadiums when she comes to town, showing off her skills at a local rodeo = sponsors may be interested.

Just a kid training horses at home? That's a long shot.
Maybe try local stores, tack stores, etc. Talk to the managers.

Ways to raise money? Bag and sell the horse manure. She can sell her own horses as surely she has no time for them if she is running a business training other people's horses. She can walk the neighbour's dogs, mow lawns, rake leaves, do housework for her parents to earn some money. She could ask for a saddle for her birthday or christmas presents. You could ask your own parents to buy her a saddle to help her! Do you take riding lessons? Don't take them and give her the money instead. You could get a part time job and donate the money you earn to her and sponsor her yourself!

For starters, she certainly does not need multiple helmets- just one as she only has one head. Already saved you some money there! Logos for trailers and shirts- irrelevant and not necessary, this money would be better spent on the equipment she can't afford to buy, which suggests she is not as successful as you say she is.

A 14yo owning her own business and keeping up with her money- what is she spending that money on if she can't afford to buy her own saddles and bridles and here you are begging for money to give her? Her parents should be in charge of her money- they will know better how to spend it on the necessary equipment. She clearly is not managing her money very well is she can't afford to buy a saddle.

She also does not need multiple saddles- have you looked into the Wintec range that offer the easy change gullet system, it is very easy to switch the saddle's gullet to make the saddle fit a range of horses. If she is as talented as you say she is, then surely she will know how to select the correct gullet for the horse. As it is a synthetic saddle, it is easy to clean and care for. You also could just have the horse owners supply their own saddles and bridles for the horse so you won't need to buy these extra things.

She can't give riding lessons as no insurance company will cover a child, especially one with no official qualifications. If she does give lessons and a person falls and gets hurt, can you afford it if that person sues her?

Has she asked her parents to mortgage their house to sponsor her themselves- that would be the ultimate act of faith in her ability. Or asked that stable to sponsor her- if she is as great as you say she is, then surely the stable owner would jump at the chance! I seriously doubt you will find anyone willing to sponsor her- the financial risk would be too great with little to no return- what would those sponsors get for their money? Would they be liable to be sued if a horse in her care injured someone? You are asking for charity, not sponsors.

If you really want to help her, get her to volunteer with a professional trainer, someone who trains horses for a living and has made a career out of it. That trainer would teach her how to properly train a horse, run a business adn promote themselves. She does not have the ability nor knowledge to do that herself, no matter how talented you say she is.

Clearly you are the "talented" 14yo you are talking about, so why not admit it? Sorry, but I doubt you are that talented, you sound just like a spoilt, over-privileged brat!

Having said that, good luck!

Yes, that will make an awesome story! Little kids will love reading about her amazing adventures- it may even be the next Saddle Club series, with a tv show made after it!

If this indeed is real, and you are begging for money, then forget it- no one will sponsor a kid doing backyard stuff, when they could hire a professional who would do a proper job of training the horses. And if she is so talented adn running such a great business, when what is she spending her money on that she can;t afford to buy her own saddles or bridles? And how many helmets does a kid need? Is she such a terrible rider that she falls off so often that she needs to replace her helmet at least twice a week?

If she needs money, then ask that local stable to start paying her, or the boarders whose horses she was riding to pay her.

I agree with Pedigree Luck- you sound like a spoilt brat who has been given two very well trained horses (Diablo and Diesel) to show off on. Stay at pony club, volunteer at the stable, cleaning stalls for money and then go to university and do a business course so you can learn how to actually run a business and manage your money, so that way you will be able to afford your own gear and not have to beg people to buy it for you.

And what on earth is a "thoughty"? And I think you mean "etc" when you put "ect". Etc stands for et cetera. I have no idea what ect stands for? Extra creative thought?
